This is a reminder about the Human Freedom Index developed by the Cato Institute and the Fraser Institute. They ranked nations according to the amount of freedom they offer citizens– and this included analyses of twelve different aspects of freedom for each country.
The 2021 analysis demonstrated that the United States ranked #15 in the world.
Among the countries that ranked ahead of us were New Zealand, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Many Americans have been conditioned to believe that we live in the most free nation in the world. But that is no longer even remotely true.
Don’t know about that index. I personally believe were are # 1 in freedom.
Certainly better than New Zealand.
