Readers will recall my criticism of the abortion law recently passed by the North Carolina General Assembly. It was a half-hearted effort at best. But it contained a handful of good provisions.
Carolina Journal has reported that federal district court Judge Catherine Eagles– a democratic socialist judge recommended by the late Senator Kay Hagan– has struck down a couple of provisions in that new law. Eagles is from Greensboro.
We shall see if the leadership of the General Assembly appeals this verdict.
