As announced in the Rhino Times, this is a Guilford County initiative. It is therefore a Skip Alston initiative.
A few questions arise.
Is this inherently discriminatory?
Is this patently unconstitutional– and therefore illegal?
And finally– is the pope Catholic?
So “inclusiveness” really means government controlled racial segregation?
Or is the government setting up a “separate but equal” farmer’s market?
I’m confused…
You have ample reason to be confused, JayCee. This is a mess. Or it is self-serving hypocrisy on the part of Alston and his cronies. Take your pick.
Oh well we already have HBCUs, Juneteenth , Black history month and MLK Holiday.
Also out of 173 schools, it was found that 42 percent offer segregated residences, 46 percent offer segregated orientation programs, and 72 percent host segregated graduation ceremonies.
So go ahead and let them have their farmers market else the cry of victim-hood. Not worth the effort to oppose it.
You’re right, Fred… we are surrounded by this junk. It never ends, because it feathers certain nests.
