Standing Up For Courageous Texas Surgeon

Texas surgeon Dr. Eithan Haim has been indicted by the Department of Justice after he became a whistleblower reporting that Texas Children’s Hospital continued performing pediatric sex change procedures after hospital administrators told the public the child gender program had been closed. The Biden Administration accuses Dr. Haim of violating patient confidentiality, but the surgeon and his attorneys say they will prove his innocence in court. Dr. Haim now faces up to 10 years in prison for sharing the truth about a practice that Texas has now made illegal.

This development should cause Americans to ask why their government is seemingly more prone to prosecute someone for revealing the truth about harmful procedures being performed on children than it is to restrain those who would perform or allow harmful procedures for children in the first place. The Biden Administration’s Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine, in fact, says he does not describe pediatric transgender procedures as harmful but as “life saving” and “medically necessary.”

Of note, the American College of Pediatricians has now said that pediatric gender transitioning is “dangerous” and calls leading medical associations in the United States to cease incorporating it into children’s medical care.

The Danbury Institute commends efforts to stop the mutilation of children in the name of “gender affirmation.” The Institute joins a growing chorus of voices in rejecting the narrative that attempting to change the gender of a child is healthcare; it is not. God as sovereign Creator has made human beings to be male or female. All efforts to alter this divine design are errant, and efforts to confuse or transition children, in particular, in regard to sex and gender are abhorrent and should not be tolerated by a civil and just society.

The targeting of individuals for prosecution for refusing to bow to the secular religion that is the LGBTQ+ movement impugns the dignity of the United States government. With so many willing to knowingly harm children on the altar of a deviant sexual revolution, America needs more courageous men and women who will dare greatly and risk much to “do no harm” to the nation’s most vulnerable population — pediatric patients.

Dr. Haim is a young general surgeon. He had been a resident when he observed all of this. In addition, he happens to be a Jewish man with some good conservative instincts who did the right thing.

Accordingly, the Biden Justice Department went after him. Another whisteblower– a nurse– had the FBI show up at her doorstep at her home. Biden’s jackals will seek to find a way to punish those who oppose the LGBTQ steamroller.
