A couple of articles demonstrate the extent to which the democratic socialists in North Carolina rely upon fundraising from out-of-state elites.
The first demonstrates how two of their justices on the NC Supreme Court engaged in fundraising with Eric Holder– Obama’s attorney general. The problem is that Holder might have business before the court given his activities fighting the district lines passed by the Raleigh Republicans. Holder obviously has access to the socialists’ extensive national fundraising capabilities.
It is surprising, by the way, that WRAL ran this story.
The second shows how certain coastal, out-of-state elite mega-donors are providing much of the fundraising for North Carolina democratic socialists.
This illustrates the problem of nefarious donors who do not share North Carolina values interfering with our elections. When you see Josh Stein dwarfing Mark Robinson with fundraising, it is not because Carolinians are rushing to fund his candidacy.
