The New Claxton Elementary Grand Re-Opening

Local media had some stories about the re-opening of Claxton Elementary School that was demolished and rebuilt using bond monies. Recall that voters had approved huge amounts of money for bonds. That means the taxpayers must pay back the bonds including both interest and principal.

A quick view of the video footage at the above links reveals that, once again, Guilford County Schools is building grandiose, excessive facilities. All the frills and bells and whistles and baubles won’t contribute one iota to educational outcome.

Skip Alston and Deena Hayes have virtually unlimited money to spend, and they can fritter it away. Then, when it runs out, they can ask the voters for more. And they will.

In all likelihood, the voters will acquiesce.

Our local government is constructing pagan idols disguised as schools using taxpayers’ money.
