I remember doing a brief residency rotation more than 35 years ago at Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC. I remember the female occupational health nurse telling me that the female recruits could not– and did not– meet the same requirements as men; and that a large number were no longer available to serve because they were getting pregnant. The issue has persisted until now:
The purpose of the military is to kill people and break things.
Any program, policy, or standard which does not strengthen these abilities should be eliminated.
Absolutely, JayCee. Obviously, this problem has been ongoing for a very long time. I hope Hegseth is permitted to succeed with this initiative.
I like the way Hegseth forcibly speaks on his intention to carry out his policies.
I hope he can make them stick, Fred, now and into the future.
