He is not wrong, but the condition extends far beyond NPR:
NPR, PBS and their leaders routinely denigrate conservatives, Christians and white people.

A lot of what I see in PBS/UNC-TV programming addresses three issues:
Racism
Homosexuality
Climate Change
And the underlying thread in these programs is that white people are responsible for all the ills of the world.
Cut the gov’t funding; let them succeed or fail on their merits, not taxpayer $$$.
I agree, JayCee. And it is a shame, because there is some good programming also.
This is another area where the Republicans in the NC General Assembly could wield some influence, given the fact it is a UNC activity. Of course, the Republicans in Washington could defund, but we have our own locus of control here within the state.
For many decades I have recognized the left bias of and have heard politicians excoriate NPR but nothing happens.
You’re right, Fred. Same with PBS, but NPR is arguably worse…
Fred, it is the Republican Party exhibiting that they are the stupid party. For decades now, virtually every NPR story is dedicated to the proposition that the government can never ever be big enough, can never have enough power. It has been a PR wing of the leftist autocrats (who lie even in their name–by calling themselves Democrats) for at least the last 40 years.
The value expressed by NPR, J. Sobran, above all else, is elitism. That plays right into the hands of the socialists (i.e., the autocrats to whom you refer).
