“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
Luke 2:14 (NKJV)
This will be our last post before Christmas.
I thoroughly enjoy this video, which I have posted here at least one time in the past. It depicts the congregation in an ancient English cathedral heartily singing the beloved 300 year old hymn, accompanied by the majestic pipe organ, choir and orchestra.
It demonstrates connection– to one’s fellow Christians, to one’s faith, and to the tradition that produces such timeless hymns. But most importantly, for repentant believers, it represents connection to the Christ child Himself:
One of my favorites from childhood learned in the Broadway Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Merry Christmas, Fred!
