Readers might recall that the former Greensboro City Manager– an African immigrant– who was forced to resign his position in the aftermath of a domestic violence call at his home.
The Triad Business Journal is now reporting that the city of Greensboro has paid out approximately $200,000 in connection with the claim that a female employee was subjected to “unwanted touching” by Taiwo Jaiyeoba, the former city manager.
It is probably safe to conclude that this was not a good hire on the part of our esteemed City Council.
His former Asst. City Manager, Kimberly Sowell, who was hired away to be the Durham County Manager, has been suspended from that job.
Apparently, Greensboro City management has an undercurrent of toxicity.
