The media/left complex has attempted to take political advantage of a couple of tragic situations in which young women succumbed to complications after having received the abortion pill. One of these traveled to North Carolina from out-of-state and received the prescription here. The other received the prescription by mail.

There are two lessons. First, the abortion pill is very risky- whether prescribed in-person or remotely. Second, people are traveling to North Carolina from out-of-state because our abortion law here is more liberal than in nearby states.
Various pro-life commentators– including here– have warned about both of these issues in the past.
The political left and their allies in the media have moved well beyond the point at which ethics and morality matter even one lick. The mere premise that they would place the blame on pro-life victories is characteristic.
The solution for these two young women would have been to follow God’s design for sexuality, reproduction and the family.
